All except Tingley were selected for induction strictly on their accomplishments as student-athletes. Tingley served 21 years as RHS director of athletics.

In addition to inducting eight individuals, the hall of fame will also unveil the John R. Williams Jr. ’62 Exceptional Service Award. The inaugural award will be presented to the Williams’ family in memory of the late John Williams, a math teacher in the Vernon school system for 32 years (1969-2011) who served as the faculty manager for the RHS athletic department between 1981 and 2001.

“We are extremely proud to announce our fourth induction class of the RHS Athletic Hall of Fame, as well as our special award-winner,” offered Smith. “The contributions made by our inductees to RHS athletics speak for themselves. The committee is looking forward to the community joining us on September 18 to honor and recognize the achievements of these individuals.”
