The sounds of volleyballs were going to bump through the night Friday and into Saturday morning.
It's the annual volleyball lock-in at Rockville High School. It is put on by the RHS SSNAP - Students Seeking New Achievements Positively - and other student groups.
"This is one event that the whole school comes together for," said junior class vice president Cassie Bartol. "There are not many functions where everyone comes together."
It's a chance for friends to hang out enjoy food and the ever-popular fruit rolls supplied by SSNAP.
Bartol said it can be considered one giant slumber party but then again, if one tries to sleep, he or she may have a close encounter with a stray volleyball.
"Would anyone do that?" Bartol quipped.
The event draws about 30 teams of eight players,
Most teams dress up. One team of boys was supposed to be wearing feet pajamas.
