Robert Michaels, 52 of Vernon; Communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Rockville

Robert P. Michaels Jr., 52, of Vernon, beloved husband of Lynda (Stratton) Michaels, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 22, 1961 in Manchester, CT the son of Marie (Kodra) and the late Robert P. Michaels Sr. Robert was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Rockville.

Besides his wife he is survived by his stepson Bryan Nichols and his fiancée Elizabeth Strout and grandson Jayden Nichols of Vernon, his brother David Michaels of Vernon, and David’s children, Amanda, David Jr., Melani & Zachary of Tolland, his Uncle and Aunt Frank and Nancy Kodra of Courtdale, PA his Father and Mother-in-law Francis and Marcia Dugan of Rehoboth Beach, DE, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4-7 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville, CT. A Funeral Home Service will be held at 7 pm with Father Richard Ricard presiding.

Burial will be at 10 am on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Rockville. His family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, pca’s and staff of CB2 at Hartford Hospital.
