Rockville High School 2022 Athletic Hall Of Fame Ceremony Slated

VERNON, CT — The 2022 Rockville High School Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 18.

The event is slated for 12:30 p.m. in the RHS auditorium with a social gathering to start and the inductions beginning at 2 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $20 and can be ordered through Scott Smith at smithsc33@sbcglobal.net.

• James Balcome — Cross Country, Track and Field Coach (1972 to 1985)
• Daniel Callahan (1977) — Football, Track and Field
• Deborah Raber (1989) — Four-Sport Athlete
• Peter Rapelye — Boys Tennis Coach (1983 to 2000)
• Gary Rencurrel (1987) — Hockey, Golf
• Marshall "Chip" Segar (1985) — Soccer
• Virginia (Thomas) Anthony (1981) — Volleyball, Softball
• Gregory Wolyniec (1991)— Basketball, Football

The John R. Williams, Jr. (1962) Exceptional Service Award is being presented to Darcy Davis for his many years of as the RHS Band Director (1980-2016). The John R. Williams Jr. Exceptional Service Award was established in 2016 and is presented by the RHS Athletic Hall of Fame Committee to a person or persons who have demonstrated "a standard of loyalty and commitment to the RHS athletic program as exemplified by John Williams," a longtime teacher and Athletic Faculty Manager at RHS.
