Rockville High School Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2026 To Be Inducted Sept. 20
Five former athletes representing eight sports will join the RHS Athletic Hall of Fame.

VERNON, CT — Five former Rockville High School athletes representing eight sports will be inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame on Sept. 20.
The Class of 2026 will be honored during the school's 13th Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony and social at the Rockville High School auditorium.
This year's class includes three-sport athletes Thomas C. Chmielecki, Class of 1996; Adrianne J. (Courchesne) Lapham, Class of 1999; Amy E. Forte, Class of 1998; and Samantha G. (Stalley) Penoyer, Class of 2006. Former All-America golfer David M. French, Class of 1985, also will be inducted.

Chmielecki competed in football, wrestling and track and field. Lapham played soccer, basketball and softball. Forte competed in soccer and basketball and ran track, while Penoyer participated in gymnastics and dance and ran track.
French was recognized as an All-America golfer during his athletic career.

The five inductees will bring the total number of members of the Rockville High School Athletic Hall of Fame to 96.
Former Rockville High School administrator and coach Kimberly R. Marinan also will receive the John R. Williams Jr. Exceptional Service Award. Marinan will become the sixth recipient of the award, which is named in memory of former RHS teacher and faculty manager John R. Williams Jr.
The social will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20, while children 12 and younger will be admitted free.
