Rockville High School Lacrosse Teams 'Stick It To Cancer'
Saturday was lacrosse "Stick it to Cancer" day at Rockville High School in Vernon.
VERNON, CT — The Rockville High School lacrosse teams paid an emotional tribute to cancer victims and survivors Saturday.
It was part of the national lacrosse "Stick it to Cancer" initiative.
A section of the RHS stadium was blocked off and the seats were occupied by posters commemorating friends and relatives of the players and coaches — those who beat cancer and those who did not.

Funds were raised for the American Cancer Society through donations and T-shirt sales.
Both the girls and boys teams played Saturday.
