Rockville High Writers Take Home National Medals
Four RHS writers have been recognized on the national level.

VERNON, CT — Four Rockville High School students have earned national recognition in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for 2018.
Kim McGuire earned a national silver medal for a short story.
Abigail Tyrrell earned a national silver medal for a dramatic script.

Ashton Stansel and Cierra Taber earned national silver medals for their poems.
The students were identified by panels of creative professionals as the most talented young artists and writers in the nation. This year, nearly 320,000 works of art and writing were submitted and just the top 1 percent were recognized at the national level.
