Schedule Firmed Up for Vernon's July in the Sky Fireworks Events
The fireworks are Wednesday.

VERNON, CT - The annual Vernon July in the Sky Fireworks events are scheduled for Wednesday evening.
Events are on tap for both Henry Park and Downtown Rockville.
Here is a look at the schedule:

Henry Park
- 6 p.m. - Gates open.
- 6 to 9:30 p.m. - Food served at the food court.
- 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. - The Superior Energy Fun Zone on McCoy field.
- 6:15 to 9:15 p.m. - Music by 102.9 The Whale.
- 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. - Eastview Drive Band.
- 8:30 p.m. - National Anthem.
- 9:40 p.m. - Fireworks.

Downtown Rockville
- 6:30 p.m. - mechanical safari animal rides begin.
- 6:45 p.m. - Gathering and decorating for the Push, Pull and Pedal Patriotic Parade in the Ladd & Hall parking lot.
- 7 p.m. - Red, White and Blue Fashion Show, in front of the band stand.
- 7:15 to 7:30 - Parade judging.
- 7:30 p.m. - Parade winners announced.
- 7:35 to 8:10 p.m. - The annual Push, Pedal and Pull Patriotic Parade Sponsored by Mill Street Auto.
- 8:10 p.m.- The National Anthem sung by Vernon's Emily Hawley.
- 9:40 p.m. - Fireworks.
The activity area will feature bounce houses, carnival-type games, a foam machine. Bracelets are
$10 for all night, or tickets are $1 each.
Mechanical Safari Animal rides are $2 each and not included with the bracelets.
The Food Court will feature fried dough, hot dogs and hamburgers, Nana's Ice Cream, Gyspy Joe's Coffee, People's Choice Pizza, Kieffer's Kettle Korn and more.
Musical entertainment is being provided by 95 South Band.
Miss Greater Rockville and Miss Rockville's Outstanding Teen will be in attendance.
Tickets will be sold near the Rockville Community Alliance table, up on Park Place in front of Senior Center
Police said alcohol and dogs are prohibited.
Bikes, skate boards and roller blades are not allowed in the downtown area except for the parade.
Restrooms downtown are located between Town Hall and the Annex. Henry Park will have rest room facilities.
The rain date is Thursday, July 7.
This year's sponsors are the United Bank Foundation and Price Chopper.
