School Officials Offering Survey to Collect Input on Potential Reconfiguration

The Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway are sponsoring a survey in which residents can express their thoughts on the potential reconfiguration of the town's elementary schools.

"Besides the focus group meetings that are scheduled for this week, I would like to ask for your participation in a survey to ensure that your voices are heard in the reconfiguration dialogue," Conway wrote in a letter dated April 17 that was sent home to parents. "Your ideas and comments are important to help our district to help our district make decisions that affect the fruit of our students in Vernon."  

The survey can be found at: www.surveymonkey.com/s/schoolreconfiguration or through a link on the www.vernonschools.com Web site.

The survey will be open until April 26.

Conway said parental comment will be considered when the school board examines the issue.
