Skinner Road School Has a New Principal

The school board endorsed the appointment of Sandye Simon on Monday.

The Board of Education on Monday unanimously voted to approve the appointment of Sandye Simon as the new principal at Skinner Road School.

Simon is the current special education director of the Lebanon public school system.

The position at Skinner Road has been vacant since January, when Kristie Bourdoulous resigned. It was advertised immediately.

With 16 years of administrative experience, she would be placed at the top step of the elementary principal ladder at a salary of $125,541, Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway said.

Simon has been in the Lebanon system since August of 2000. She was the interim superintendent for three months, the principal at Lebanon Elementary School and an assistant principal at that school and Lebanon Middle School.

She has also worked in the Manchester and Coventry school systems.

No start date was announced at the meeting.
