Wachusett's Bullock Lodge is full of history and doughnuts.
PRINCETON, MA — It can be a bluebird day ... a powder day ... one of those corduroy mornings when you just don't want to stop.
But you stop. You have to — in this certain spot in the middle of the mountain. It's the thing to do when skiing Wachusett.

Bullock Lodge is one of the most historic structures on Wachusett Mountain. Bullock Lodge was built in the 1930s as an economic stimulus project by the Civilian Conservation Corps and served as the original base lodge for the ski area.
The lodge is located at a junction between the upper and lower mountain areas between Salamander Cutoff and Lower 10th Mountain trails. It sat dormant for decades and then reopened in 2010 to much fanfare when Wachusett made it a mid-run refreshment stop.

Non-skiers even walked up the hill that day to check it out. Now, newbies will frequently ask Wawa regulars how to get to the lodge.
And it has a lot to to with the doughnuts. There is truly nothing like them in snow sports land when they first come out.
OK, anytime.
