Snowstorm Keeps Emergency Crews Busy In Vernon

Round 2 of this week's snowstorm kept emergency crews in Vernon busy.

VERNON, CT — Round 2 of this week's snowstorm kept emergency crews in Vernon busy Monday evening into Tuesday morning.

At about 1 a.m. Tuesday morning, Route 83 was partially closed between Loveland Hill north and Loveland Hill after a car slammed into a utility pole, police said. The pole fell and took wires with it, police said. The road was closed to tractor-trailers.

On Monday evening, a car hit a stone wall on Bamforth Road, police said. No injuries were reported.
