Sobriety Checkpoint Planned For Vernon
Vernon police and regional offricers from Metro Traffic Services have scheduled a sobriety checkpoint.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police and regional officers from Metro Traffic Services have scheduled a sobriety checkpoint for Friday in Vernon.
Enforcement efforts will be spread out in the form of a checkpoint and roving patrols from 6 p.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday on Route 83, Route 74, Bolton Road, South Frontage Road, West Street, Route 31 and Route 30, police said.
The efforts are being funded through a federal Comprehensive DUI Enforcement Program grant that is a regional effort to combat drunken driving.
