Sobriety Checkpoint slated for Vernon This Week
Vernon police and officers from Metro Traffic Services have scheduled a sobriety checkpoint for this week.
VERNON, CT — Local police and officers from Metro Traffic Services have scheduled a sobriety checkpoint detail for this Friday evening into early Saturday morning in Vernon.
The checkpoint is slated to run from 6 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Likely spots for the checkpoint are along Route 83, Route 74, Bolton Road, South Frontage Road, West Street, Route 31 and Route 30, police said.

The operation is being funded through a federal Comprehensive DUI Enforcement Program grant.
