South Windsor Business Evacuated As Fire Breaks Out

A South Windsor business was evacuated Wednesday morning after a fire broke out.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor business was evacuated Wednesday morning after a fire broke out at its location near the East Hartford border.

The fire at 410 Burnham St. — Able Tool and Equipment — was reported at about 9:45 a.m. Police said all employees managed to get out of the building safely.

Burnham Street was shut down between Route 5 and Long Hill Road, police said.

South Windsor police spokesman Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said the fire will likely cause considerable damage to the building.
