Special Voter Registration Session Slated In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A special registration session for the November election is being staged in Vernon.

The Vernon Registrars of Voters will be conducting the session on Friday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the elections division office, Room 117, Center 375, 375 Hartford Turnpike.

Anyone who is not registered to vote but would like to vote in the Nov. 5 election for president and other federal and state offices can stop by and sign up to vote. Residents should bring a driver's license or Social Security card.

The process to register takes about five minutes to register and voters "will be able to participate in what is expected to be one of the closest presidential elections in history," the registrars said.
