Springtime Mulch Deliveries Back In Vernon

VERNON, CT — Springtime home mulch deliveries are back in Vernon.

The Vernon Department of Public Works will deliver a 4-cubic-yard load of mulch (if available) for $60.

Mulch will be delivered onto driveways only at a location clearly marked by the resident. Interested residents can call the Public Works Office at 860-870-3500 to schedule a delivery.

Mulch will continue to be available at the Vernon Transfer Station to residents free of charge. A permit and punch card are not required. Mulch transformed from yard clippings sits in a massive pile at the transfer station.

The Transfer Station is located on Hockanum Boulevard and is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and and on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
