St. Pierre Sworn In As Latest Vernon Police Department Sergeant

Vernon police have a new sergeant.

VERNON, CT — Greg St. Pierre was sworn in Monday as the latest sergeant at the Vernon Police Department.

Following the oath, St. Pierre's wife, Sara, and daughter, Emma pinned the new badge in him in the traditional ceremony.

St. Pierre has been with the VPD since New Year's Eve, 2012 and was most recently the school resource officer for the Vernon public school system.

He has been a patrol officer and training officer and among his awards is a major recognition by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

"I am very confident Greg will so an outstanding job as a sergeant with the Vernon Police Department," Chief John Kelley said.
