State Trooper Charged In Connection With Vernon Assault
Jaime Solis has been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of Vernon police and CSP internal affairs investigations.

VERNON, CT — A Connecticut State Police trooper has been placed on administrative duty following his arrest in Vernon Monday evening in connection with an assault case.
Jaime Solis, 29, was arrested around 7 p.m. following a domestic dispute at his home. Vernon police located a person who had sustained a head injury, and who was taken to an area hospital.
An investigation determined Solis had assaulted the victim in front of a child, who was uninjured, according to Vernon police.

Solis was charged with second-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct. He was held in lieu of $25,000 bond, and was slated to be arraigned Tuesday in Rockville Superior Court.
A state trooper since 2020, Solis is assigned to Troop D in Danielson. His state police powers have been suspended pending the outcome of the Vernon police investigation and a CSP internal affairs investigation, according to a written statement from state police.
