Stolen Car Stalls After I-84 Chase, 4 Arrested
Manchester, West Hartford, Windsor and Hartford residents were charged after a pursuit involving a Newington stolen car ended in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — State police charged four people with first-degree larceny after a stolen car chase ended in Vernon.
The incident took place at 10:25 p.m. on Dec.8. Massachusetts state police notified Connecticut state police that they were pursuing a gray Dodge Durango for motor vehicle violations on Interstate-84, according to a report.
Connecticut state police picked up the pursuit at the state line. The Durango made its way to Vernon at a "high rate of speed," and left the highway at Exit 65, according to a report.

A trooper noticed the car was stuck at a traffic light after breaking down and the occupants were arrested, according to a report. The vehicle had been stolen from Newington on Dec.8, hence the first-degree larceny charges.
