Student Art Project Celebrates The 'Faces' Of Vernon
The collage is called, "The Diverse Faces Of Vernon."

VERNON, CT — A new display at Vernon Center Middle School celebrates the town's multiculturalism.
The collage is called, "The Diverse Faces Of Vernon" with the subtitle, "One Of Us Is As Good As All Of Us." It was fashioned through the VCMS Epoch Art program and the Vernon Education Foundation.
Students and staffers hung the imaged Thursday afternoon.

Faces of Diversity is an international social art project spearheaded by artist Edwin Gil. Hands-on activities combined with intentional dialogue about race, culture, and socio-economics help participants "see how we're all connected and special in our own way," according to the project overview.
The local display is set up along the rear entrance to VCMS on West Street:
