Supermarket Squabble Leads to FTA, Protective Order Arrests

VERNON, CT — A domestic squabble in a Vernon supermarket led to the arrest of two people who were not supposed to be together in the first place, police said.

The incident took place at about 6 p.m. at the Price Chopper supermarket, according to a report. A man and a woman were in the midst of a domestic incident and an off-duty Coventry police officer recognized the woman from a recent re-arrest warrant for a drunken driving case in Coventry, police said.

The woman,28-year-old Carissa Concatelli, of Coventry, was arrested for failure to appear on court, police said.

The man, Juan Nieto, 27, or Vernon was charged with violating a protective order, police said.
