Suspected Drug Dealer Caught At Gas Station In Vernon
According to a warrant, law enforcement personnel were waiting for a suspected drug dealer at a gas station in Vernon last week.

VERNON, CT — A regional drug task force banned a suspected dealer at a business in Vernon late last week.
On Thursday, the regional East Central Narcotics Task Force, along with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and Vernon police. conducted an operation to serve two arrest warrants and two search warrants to 39-year-old Jarvis Chambers at the Valero Gas Station at 506 Talcottville Road. in Vernon.
The operation was in response to a lengthy narcotics investigation, police said.

Chambers arrived at the gas station in a vehicle, briefly attempted to flee, and then refused to exit his vehicle, according to a news release. He was eventually taken into custody and placed under arrest, police said.
A search of his person and vehicle yielded 118 bags of suspected fentanyl, about 10 grams of crack cocaine and 5.53 grams of Fentanyl-laced Marijuana, according to a news release.

Based on the items found during the operation, Chambers was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with police.
On the warrant, Chambers was charged with possession of narcotics and the sale of narcotics, according to a news release.
Chambers was held on a total of $400,000 in bonds, police said.
