Suspected Drug Dealer Nabbed After Vernon Traffic Stop

VERNON, CT — A weekend traffic stop in Vernon led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer, a report indicates.

On Saturday at 4:03 p.m., a black Audi sport utility vehicle was stopped on West Main Street for the improper use of a registration plate, according to a report. The driver, 35-year-old Maurice Tucker, of Hartford, was found with marijuana packaged for sale, more than $4,000 in cash, and other drug paraphernalia, according to a report.

He was also driving with a suspended license, police said.

Tucker was charged with the sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, the improper use of a registration plate and driving while under suspension, according to a report. He posted a $25,000 surety bond and is due in court on Dec. 4, according to a report.
