Suspected Drunken Driver Ravages Car Wash Parking Lot: Vernon Police
A suspected drunken driver went on a reckless joyride in a car wash parking lot in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — A police report released this week described a car wrecking several objects in the parking lot of a local car wash.
The indecent took place at 10:58 p.m. on July 9, police said.
Officers were called to the Economy Car Wash at 56 Talcottville Road after a 911 call alerted them to a red sedan traveling through the business parking lot and "running over objects."

The car wrecked several barriers and cones and a gate at the closed car wash entrance, according to a report.
Police found 53-year-old Bloomfield resident James Crawford behind the wheel and he was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving, according to a report.
