Suspected Fentanyl Dealer Nabbed In Vernon

A police task force has arrested an suspected drug dealer in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — A suspected drug dealer was arrested in Vernon with more than 200 doses of a potent narcotic on him, a police report indicates.

At the beginning of the month, the East Central Narcotics Task Force initiated an investigation into a "narcotics dealer" by the name "Mike," who was reportedly selling Fentanyl, heroin, and other "illicit substance" in Vernon, according to a report.

During the course of the investigation "Mike" was identified as 27-year-old Jonathan Colon.

The task force obtained a search and seizure warrant for Colon's vehicle and, on Jan. 16, officers staked out Colon’s vehicle and then converged on it, a report indicates.

Colon was found to be in possession of approximately 200 wax folds containing suspected Fentanyl.

He was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession with intent to distribute
  • Possession of controlled substance within 1,500 feet of school/daycare
