Swimming Hours Extended In Vernon For Hot Weekend

VERNON, CT — The hours have been extended by two hours at Vernon's two monitored swimming facilities through Sunday to help residents cool off from the current heat wave.

Swimming hours are extended to 7 p.m. Friday at Newhoca Park, 185 Grier Road, and to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Community Pool, 375 Hartford Turnpike.

Normal hours at each facility are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Regular admission fees apply, which are $3 for ages 12 and younger, and $5 for ages 13 and older. Season passes are also available.
