Teen Charged After Scuffle at Vernon Adult Ed Center

VERNON, CT — A Tolland teen is facing an assault charge after a scuffle at an adult education center, according to an arrest report.

The incident took place at 9:39 p.m. on Monday, according to an arrest report. Police were already at Rockville High School for an evaluation when they were told a female was fighting with staff members, according to an arrest report.

She was attempting to prevent authorities from taking the person being evaluated to the hospital and was fighting with staffers in the hallway, according to an arrest report. She had to be handcuffed in the hallways, police said.

Alexandra Cabral, 18, of Settlers Way, Tolland, was charged with third-degree assault, interfering and second-degree breach of peace, according to an arrest report.

She is due in court on June 6, according to an arrest report.
