Teen Hit By Car In Vernon Thursday

A teen was hit by a car Thursday morning in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — A teen was hit by a car Thursday morning in Vernon, police said.

The incident took place at 9:10 a.m. at the Union Street-Ward Street intersection, police said. The 13-year-old was struck by car, but the injuries were non life-threatening, police said.

The teen was transported by ambulance to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, police said.

The accident is being investigated and no charges had been filed as of late Thursday morning, police said.

Children were out at that time on Thursday because of a two-hour snow delay for schools in Vernon.
