Three Promoted at Vernon Police Department

Three Vernon police officers were promoted on Wednesday.

Fellow officers, friends, family members and members of the media packed the Community Room at the department for a ceremony honoring William Meier, who was promoted from sergeant to lieutenant; and Daniel Champagne and Gary Jonas, who were promoted to sergeant.

With Chief James Kenny looking on, Town Clerk Bernice Dixon swore each in and their respective spouses, Colleen Meier, Keri Jonas and Karen Champagne, pinned new badges on their uniforms.
