Thursday is a Snow Day for Vernon Public Schools

There is no school in Vernon today.

Superintendent of Schools Mary Conway sent out an alert this morning.

It's also going to be potentially a mess weather-wise as the day progresses. AOL Weather says to expect snow showers mixing with rain at times this afternoon.

Highs should be near 40 with north-northwest winds at 20 to 30 mph.

The chance of rain is 60 percent.
