Thwarted Pizza Order Leads To Hotel Lobby Bruhaha In Vernon: PD

What started as a pizza order turned into an altercation inside a hotel lobby in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — A belligerent guest at the Vernon Motel 6 wound up being pinned to the floor by a desk clerk during a tirade over a would-be pizza order in the lobby, police said.

According to a report, 40-year-old Jason Brady was in the lobby at 12:33 a.m. and wanted to use the front desk land line to call in a pizza order, according to a report. When he was told he could not by the staff, Brady became "irate" and started screaming at the motel staff, a report indicates.

According to a report, a clerk attempted to call 911, but Brady grabbed his phone and threw it across the room. The clerk then used the front desk land line to call police.

According to a report, Brady lunged over the counter, but the clerk was able to pull a reversal and pin Brady to the floor until authorities arrived.

Brady was subsequently charged with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an emergency call, according to a report.
