Toland Man Hurls Object At Car In Vernon, Pursued Into Manchester
A pursuit that began in Vernon ended with a crash in Manchester, police said.

VERNON, CT — A Tolland man who is accused of throwing an object from his car at another vehicle in on Christmas Eve in Vernon and leading police on a pursuit that culminated with a crash in Manchester is facing 14 criminal charges, an incident report indicates.
Just after 3 p.m. Friday, Vernon police received reports of a vehicle that fired a weapon at another vehicle. That turned out to be a thrown object, police said, most likely a bottle.
The vehicle was located, but the driver, identified as 24-year-old Tolland resident Jose Manuel Abedelkader, failed to stop for police, according t0 a report.

Abedelkader then engaged police in a pursuit that ultimately ended when he crashed his car on Summit Street in Manchester.

Abedelkader was released on a $100,000 bond and given a court date of Jan. 4.
