Rockville High School lost power Friday, prompting an early dismissal.

VERNON, CT — Rockville High School lost power Friday, prompting administrators to send students home early.
Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary said a "blown transformer" in the area knocked power out at the high school, located on Loveland Hill Road.
Students were dismissed at 1 p.m., an hour earlier than usual.

The Eversource Energy outage map was showing 387 homes in Vernon without power at the time.
Students with last names beginning with M through Z attend classes on Thursdays and Fridays under the hybrid learning plan adopted by the local school system.
