Tree Branch Falls, Causes Brief Vernon Road Closure

VERNON, CT — A section of Center Road in Vernon was closed for a short period of time Saturday afternoon when a section of a tree fell down and brought wires with it.

The incident was in a front yard of a home along the 200 block, near the Jonathan Drive intersection.

Police, fire and Eversource Energy crews responded.

The tree fell at 12:14 p.m. and the scene was cleared in less than two hours.
