Man Airlifted to Hospital After Tree Falls On Him In Vernon

VERNON, CT — A man was hurt by a tree that fell on property off Fish and Game Road late Thursday morning, police said.

The incident was reported at 10:36 a.m. from a skeet shooting range, police said. The man was in a wooded area behind the range clearing trees, police said.

Police and fire personnel from both Vernon and Tolland rushed to the scene and the man was being retrieved by off-road vehicles, police said.

Life Star helicopter was called to the scene.

The extent of the man's injuries was unknown, police said.
