Trio Accused of Stealing Guns in Vernon Home Invasion

VERNON, CT — Vernon police said they are looking for three men a resident said invaded his home and took guns on Wednesday.

The call came in at 5:01 p.m. A a resident of 95 Hockanum Boulevard told police he was "attacked" by three “middle-aged black males” after he returned home from work.

The victim reported the men were armed with handguns and tied him up inside the home, police said.

The victim told police the bandits made off with several firearms from the residence, according to a report.

The resident suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention, police said.

Vernon police detectives processed the scene and said the initial investigation suggests the incident was not random and that it poses no danger to the public, according to a report.
