VERNON, CT — A truck accident left heavy equipment dumped on a section of Interstate 84 in Vernon, state police said.

According to a crash report, at 2:31 p.m. on Nov. 4, a tractor-trailer was traveling on the Exit 66 on-ramp. The truck swerved off the lane while negotiating a curve and collided with a metal guardrail to the left, according to a crash report.

The impact caused the truck's cargo to shift and the heavy equipment broke loose and landed on the pavement, according to a crash report.

No injuries were reported and traffic was diverted while the mess was cleaned up.
