Truck Mishap Knocks Out Power In Rockville Tuesday

VERNON, CT — A truck mishap knocked out power in the Rockville section of Vernon Tuesday morning.

Vernon fire officials said a tractor trailer was being loaded on School Street, but it came off the ground and collided with a utility pole.

No one was injured, but the collision caused power to go out at a few surrounding homes, fire officials said.

The road was closed until all vehicles were removed by a towing company and the scene was then turned over to an Eversource crew, which worked to repair the pole and lines. According to the Eversource outage map, power was restored by early afternoon.
