Trunk-Or-Treat Returning To Vernon's Henry Park This Halloween

VERNON, CT — There will be a 2022 version of Vernon's Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event at Henry Park.

This year's event is scheduled for Oct. 27 from 4:3o to 7 p.m. and is open to the first 500 Vernon children.

As in the past, cars will line up at the entrance and then tour the park, where they will be greeted by town departments and organizations, which will hand out treats from decorated booths.

The Vernon Trunk-or-Treat began three years ago as a safe means to trick-or-treat and an effort to offer something positive to a town cooped up by the coronavirus pandemic. It continued last year and is scheduled for this fall.

Guest ghouls have included the headless horseman and a myriad of monsters on a haunted school bus.
