Unruly Restaurant Patron In Vernon Gets Tossed, Then Charged: Police

VERNON, CT — A unruly patron at a restaurant in Vernon began the weekend with a bunch of criminal charges after a Friday night altercation, police said.

At 9:31 p.m., Vernon police received a complaint about three people fighting outside the Rocking Horse barbecue restaurant at 57 Hartford Turnpike.

According to an arrest report, police determined that a patron had assaulted two staff members after being escorted out of the building.

The man then scuffled with police, according to an arrest report.

Shawn Golding, 28, of New Britain, was charged with third-degree assault, assault on a public safety officer, interfering with police and second-degree breach of peace, an arrest report shows.

He was held over he weekend on a $50,000 bond and was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Monday.
