Unwanted Guest In Vernon Winds Up Being Wanted Man

A man spent the weekend in the Vernon police lockup on a hefty bond for multiple protective order violations.

VERNON, CT — An altercation at a Vernon residence Friday evening turned into the arrest of a Bridgeport man for multiple protective order violations, police said.

The 28-year-old man was still in custody Monday morning on bonds totaling $40,000 and is expected in Rockville Superior Court Tuesday, records show.

At 6:53 p.m. Friday, Vernon police responded to reports of a loud argument at a Lawrence Street residence, according to an incident report. One of those involved, the Bridgeport man, was wanted on four counts of violating a protective order, police said.
