Varsity Schedules Set to Begin in Rockville

VERNON, CT — Schools are all now back in session throughout Connecticut, and athletic teams have been practicing for nearly two weeks. Looking forward, opening day for Rockville High School varsity squads is literally just around the corner.

Here are the scheduled regular season openers for Ram teams:

• boys soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Suffield, 3:45 p.m.
• football - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Cromwell/Portland, 6:30 p.m.
• girls soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at Suffield, 7 p.m.
• girls swimming - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Bristol Eastern, 3:45 p.m.
• girls volleyball - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Coventry, 5:30 p.m.
• cross country - Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Ellington (with East Granby and Suffield), 4:15 p.m.
