• Vernon Center Middle School's cross country teams were both defeated last Friday by Sage Park. The VCMS boys were defeated 25-30. Leading the boys team was Elijah Wiggins (14:16), Chris Gallat (14:44), Max St. Germain (15:58), Zach Palizza (16:54), and Christian Lajeunesse (16:55). Like the boys team, the girls also lost in a close meet, 27-29. Scoring points for the girls team were Chelsea Chatterton (14:28), Amber Wiggins (15:29),  Kyleigh Percy ( 16:16), Gracie Schauster (16:35), and Julianna Milltte (16:46). The team's next meet is Monday at Illing Middle School in Manchester.
