Vehicles Hit Head-On In Vernon

VERNON, CT — Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision in Vernon on Monday afternoon.

The crash took place at 5:15 p.m. on Tunnel Road near the Risley Road intersection, police said. A vehicle was heading south, crossed into the northbound lane and slammed into the front of an oncoming car, police said.

One person was transported to Rockville General Hospital with what police described as minor injuries, according to a report.

The crash is still being investigated, police said.
