Vernon 2021 Local Election Results: Champagne, GOP Win In A Romp
Voters in Vernon Tuesday sent a ringing endorsement to the current administration.

VERSON, CT — Vernon Mayor Daniel Champagne and his Republican colleagues were re-elected to the majority again Tuesday in the 20021 municipal election.
According to the Vernon Elections Division sheets, Champagne accumulated 63.4 percent of the votes with 3,381. Democratic challenger Jesse Schoolnik had 1,952. Champagne was the top vote-getting candidate in all races by more than 300 votes and is on his way to a fifth term and the distinction of being the longest-serving Vernon mayor.
"I would like to thank the voters of Vernon for their continued support for myself and my team," Champagne said just after the results came in.

Te GOP won every race. A total of 5,346 voters were checked off out of 18,175 eligible.
"This victory is about the accomplishments over the years," town council member Laura Bush said. "We have added the Gene Pitney Memorial Park, the Saxony Dog Park, athletic fields and so much more. The residents of Vernon want Mayor Dan Champagne and his team to continue his vision for Vernon. This is all done with no mill rate increase."

Bush also tallied more than 3,000 votes.
