Vernon Community Arts Center to Feature Halloween Horror Gallery

The doors should start creaking on Oct. 25.

There have always been rumors that the old whitewashed school building at the corner of Center Road and Hartford Turnpike, now the sparkling new Vernon Community Arts Center, is haunted.

Arts commission members were telling the story if a mysterious unoccupied elevator ride the other day.

Digression aside, the building will be really haunted from Oct. 25 through 28, when the arts center features a "Gallery of Horrors in celebration of Halloween.

Guided tours will take visitors through a spectacle of horror-inspired rooms created by local artist Olof Aspelin.

The horror gallery is scheduled to be open at 6 from Oct, 25 through 28.
A local metal bands is slated to play on Saturday. It is an all-ages show and those younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday will feature a “kid friendly” environment tailored for younger audiences. 

Admission is $5 per person for all nights except Saturday, which is $10 per person and includes access to bands.
