Vernon Cops Nab Armed Car Burglary Suspects
A juvenile and an adult tried to flee Vernon police in a burglary case.

VERNON, CT — Police took a pair of armed burglary suspects into custody early Sunday morning, according to an arrest report.
At 1 a.m. Sunday, Vernon police local a vehicle that appeared to have been burglarized at 23 Hartford Turnpike, according to an arrest report. Police then located a 17-year-old and 20-year-old East Hartford resident Kadeem Lamtey on the premises, and they both began to run when seeing the cops, according to an arrest report.
Both were quickly tracked town and taken into custody, according to an arrest report.

The juvenile was charged with two counts of criminal attempt at motor vehicle larceny, two counts of conspiracy to to commit motor vehicle larceny, third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and interfering with police.
Lamptey was charged with third-degree burglary and a correlating conspiracy charge, second-degree criminal mischief and a related conspiracy charge, motor vehicle larceny and a corresponding conspiracy charge (two counts each), carrying a pistol without a permit and interfering. He is due on court on June 13.
