Vernon CT Lottery Player Nabs Top Prize In Draw Game
A jaunt near Bradley International Airport turned into a jackpot-winning day for a Vernon CT Lottery player.

EAST GRANBY, CT — A Vernon CT Lottery player cashed in a six-figure prize this week in a popular nightly draw game.
The player, identified just as "winner" in accordance with the CT Lottery's privacy policy, cashed in the ticket for the top Cash5 prize of $100,000 on Thursday. The ticket was purchased at the Phillips 66 station near Bradley International Airport in East Granby.
Cash5 is a pari-mutuel game with a top prize of $100,000. It was the second six-figure win out of the station and third prize of more than $20,000 since mid-August.

Cash5 drawings take place nightly at about 10:29 p.m. Wagering closes at 10:20 p.m. and then reopens at 10:46 p.m. Cash5 games cost $1 each with a kicker option for an additional half-dollar. The kicker increases a player's chance of winning and adds more prize levels.
