Vernon DPW to Adjust Trash and Recycling Schedule For Presidents Day
Check out how the collections will be affected by the holiday.
VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20, in observance of Presidents Day.
Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected the following day on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 along with that day's collection.
Excess trash and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday, February 19.
